Introduced BMX to NZ in 1979, making the first bikes and then setting up the famous in NZ Pantha brand factory. Built the first Track, formed the first club. The same year made the first Aero dynamic track bike in the free world (East Germany with huge resources were first with the backing of Communist Goverment resources) Frank scoured the aircraft industry and adapted cro-moly aircraft struts to get the aerofoil profiled tubing years before the cycle industry produced aero tubing. Franks son Mark Clavis bought up within his fathers activities is well placed to build the business and is also 50% owner Trustee.Mark rides a hand made Carbon fibre Billato custom road bike, Billato being one of Italy's premier bike builders. The Trust has a retail shop (Bike Albany) operating as an allround bike shop with full workshop services. This shop is at 6a Douglas Alexander Parade, Albany, North Shore City, Auckland. NZ.
